India has set up its own research station at Ny-alesund in Norway. it has been named as HIMADRI.By this India has become the 11 th country in the world to establish full fledged research station in arctic region.They have deposited five carieties if Indian seeds - two of rice and three of wheat.HIMADRI will be managed by the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research,Goa.
